The different types of Systems

Our recommendation is that solar is a part of every solution, reason being you’re immediately saving money offsetting your capital outlay.  Budget can be challenging at times or perhaps battery backup is all that is required.  Should this be the case, we can supply the inverter and lithium batteries for this purpose. You can add to the system at a later stage if you so wish.

How do solar panels generate electricity?

Basically, Solar panels generate electricity from light. The sun being our greatest source of light we use the free radiant light or energy from the sun in combination with solar panels to generate power. Light travels from the sun in particles known as photons. The photons make direct contact with the solar PV panel collector which then breaks electrons free from atoms, therefore, generating a flow of current. Basically, the solar panel’s photovoltaic cells convert solar energy from the sun into usable DC power. The DC power generated by solar panels is then fed into solar inverter which converts the DC power into AC energy which could power your electrical devices.

How long do solar panels last?

Solar Panels can last for decades as they are a very durable product with no moving parts. Many solar panel manufacturers provide solar panel warranties up to 30 years. However solar panels can become less efficient over the years compared to when they are installed, roughly 0.5 efficiency per year which is fairly low.

Determining the number of solar PV panels required would depend on your power consumption requirements and electricity usage for your home or business. Determining the number of solar panels you require, is to determine the flowing factors:
